Josh Brown's explosive BBL century is set to pay a quick dividend, with the Brisbane opener inundated with approaches to immediately join overseas clubs.
Brown's 41-ball century against Adelaide on Monday night catapulted the Heat into Wednesday's BBL final against the Sydney Sixers, and the 30-year-old to the attention of global franchises.
AAP has been told that within hours of Brown's 140 off 57 balls, the opener's management heard from clubs in both Bangladesh and the UAE where there are T20 league seasons getting underway.
The Queenslander is weighing up his options, and is set to fly out to join one of those leagues as early as Friday.
The overseas interest marks a stunning turnaround for Brown, who was playing fourth grade cricket in Brisbane at age 24.
Prior to Monday night's innings, Brown's most likely path over the next month was some time off before returning to play premier cricket in Brisbane.
Some state cricket would potentially have been an option, with Brown currently training with Queensland while uncontracted.
Instead, overseas opportunities now await.
The ILT20 began last week, but clubs will lose players midway through the tournament.
The Dubai Capitals, in particular, will lose Australians Jake Fraser-McGurk and David Warner to international duties in coming weeks, and are understood to be on the look out for talent.
Brown would have Brisbane teammate Sam Billings with him at that club if he was to head there, with the Englishman well aware of the right-hander's talent.
The Bangladesh Premier League also began last week, and runs through to March 1.
At least one club there has contacted Brown, with the opportunity to open the batting.
Beyond that, interest has also arrived from T10 leagues, where it is believed Brown could be well suited.
A bat-maker by day, Brown broke the BBL record for the most sixes in an innings when he belted 12 against the Strikers on Monday night.
His score was the third highest in the competition's history, sitting behind only Glenn Maxwell and Marcus Stoinis.
The headline act of his career so far, the knock was no one-off with Brown having belted 62 from 23 balls against the Sixers at the SCG last year.
Brown said after the innings he would be ready and willing to take any opportunity that popped up overseas.
"I'd take it with both hands," he said.
"It'd be nice, I just need to keep scoring runs whenever I'm playing."
