Curry runs hot from long range, Green nets 15 in NBA

Steph Curry has regained his hot hand, Josh Green played another important cameo for Dallas, and Ben Simmons' Brooklyn continued to flounder on an action-packed night of NBA action.

Curry nailed 11-of-16 from long range on the way to a game-high 42 points in Golden State's 131-109 win over Indiana on Thursday night (Friday AEDT).

It equalled the third-most three-pointers of his career.

The star display came just a day after Curry made only two of his seven field-goal attempts in a 23-point win over Philadelphia.

Curry was unstoppable in the first quarter against the Pacers, nailing six three-pointers at a perfect 100 per cent accuracy to help set up the win.

The 35-year-old added another three-pointer in the second quarter, before finally missing his first long-range bomb of the match.

Jonathan Kuminga chipped in with 18 points for the Warriors, while Pascal Siakam top-scored for Indiana with 16.

Green continued his hot form with 15 points, six rebounds and three assists in the Mavericks' 122-108 win over the Knicks in New York.

His biggest highlight was a flying one-handed dunk that wowed even the home fans.

Green's other big highlight came midway through the final quarter when he nailed a three-pointer in the corner while being fouled.

Mavs superstar Luka Doncic was again a force with 36 points, 11 assists, eight rebounds and four steals, while Kyrie Irving finished with 16 points as Dallas (29-23) posted their third win on the trot.

Brooklyn (20-31) slumped to their third straight loss, a 118-95 home defeat to Cleveland.

Simmons tallied six points, two assists and one rebound in a quiet 20-minute display.

Mikal Bridges top-scored for Brooklyn with 26 points, while Donovan Mitchell led the way for the Cavaliers with 27.

The Cavs (34-16) romped to their eighth straight win courtesy of a 21-0 run to start the third quarter.

Australian Matisse Thybulle scored just two points but managed seven assists and five steals in Portland's 128-122 overtime loss to Detroit.

Portland led by 14 points with seven minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, but the Pistons launched a frenetic fightback to send the game into overtime.

The Trail Blazers managed just two points in the extra period to crash to defeat.

In Orlando, Australian Joe Ingles made 2-of-3 from long range on the way to eight points in the Magic's 127-111 win over San Antonio.

Franz Wagner had a game-high 34 points for the hosts, who made an impressive 16-of-27 from three-point land despite entering the game with the second-worst three-point percentage in the league.

Devin Vassell led the way for the Spurs with 30 points - all scored in the second half - while No.1 draft pick Victor Wembanyama tallied 15 points and three blocks.

The Lakers' three-game winning streak came to an end after the Denver Nuggets posted a 114-106 victory.

Jamal Murray scored 29 points and Michael Porter Jr added 22 for the Nuggets, while LeBron James (25 points, nine rebounds, seven assists) and Anthony Davis (32 points, nine rebounds) led the way for LA.

Chicago beat Memphis 118-110 thanks to important displays from DeMar DeRozan (28 points), Andre Drummond (21 points, 13 rebounds) and Nikola Vucevic (20 points, nine rebounds).

Minnesota thrashed Milwaukee 129-105, while Kevin Durant scored 31 points in Phoenix's 129-115 win over Utah.
