The prospect of a month on the road holds no fears for Greater Western Sydney as they embark on an AFL finals mission under first-year coach Adam Kingsley.
The Giants, who secured their top-eight spot with a 32-point win over Carlton at Marvel Stadium on Sunday, have won at a record 10 venues this season.
But they have not yet triumphed at the MCG - the location for their elimination final against St Kilda on September 9.
"We lost our only game there against Collingwood, so if that's where we play then it will be another little carrot for us to try and knock that one over," Kingsley said after Sunday's game.
If they get past St Kilda, GWS will have to win another three interstate finals to snare an unlikely premiership.
The Giants' finals involvement comes as a huge surprise after they won just six games last year and sacked Leon Cameron as coach.
Engineering the turnaround has been a satisfying experience for Kingsley, who was always bullish about his side's chances of playing finals in his first season at the helm.
The former Richmond assistant steered GWS to seventh spot with a 13-10 record, including a club-record seven-match winning streak from rounds 13 to 20.
"At this point, with the body of work that's been done, it shows that we're capable and that the work we've been doing as a coaching group has paid off," Kingsley said.
"But we've got higher aspirations than just making finals and we want to now try to win a final.
"We'll get back to work and try to plan how we beat St Kilda."
All-Australian defender Sam Taylor is in doubt for the elimination final after he was a late withdrawal from the Carlton clash because of a hamstring injury sustained during the previous week's win over Essendon.
Taylor missed two months with a hamstring injury earlier this season but Kingsley said the latest setback was on the opposite leg.
"It was only a minor hamstring but I would imagine he'll be touch and go for the Saints game," Kingsley said.
"We'll rehab him and see how he responds."
