GWS players are "eating up" the system coach Adam Kingsley has brought in from Richmond as the Giants eye another unlikely deep AFL finals run.
The Giants have won at least one match in all six finals series the club has contested since 2016 after beating St Kilda by 24 points at the MCG on Saturday.
After starting the season 3-7, GWS have charged home with 10 wins from their past 12 games to be one of the in-form teams of the six left in the campaign.
Star midfielder Tom Green, who was enormous against the Saints with 35 disposals, heaped praise on Kingsley and his coaching staff.
Kingsley spent 15 years as an assistant at Port Adelaide, St Kilda, and Richmond under three-time premiership coach Damien Hardwick before taking on the Giants' top job at the end of last year.
Under Kingsley's leadership, GWS have risen from 16th last year to a semi-final against Port on Saturday night.
"I think in pre-season, we knew that the system that Adam was bringing across from Richmond was one that worked, them having such a successful period," Green told AAP.
'We had great faith that it was right, and throughout pre-season we grew in confidence with it.
"We started the season probably not the way that we wanted to but we were just ironing a few chinks out in learning that new system and then once we got things cooking.
"It gave us great confidence that our best footy was good enough to beat anyone.
"We’re finishing unbelievably and the way everyone’s bought in; what the coaches are preaching, everyone's eating up."
There are shades of GWS' run to the 2019 grand final when they finished sixth and won games at the Gabba and the MCG to reach the decider against Richmond.
Green didn't debut until the following year, but plenty of his teammates, such as Toby Greene, Josh Kelly, Lachie Whitfield and Stephen Coniglio were heavily involved in the famous campaign four years ago.
The 22-year-old believes this Giants team is capable of anything after winning at 11 different venues this year - an AFL record.
"Considering the way we've gone in the back half of the year, I struggle to put a limit on us," Green said.
"It’s a really even competition and it's not easy to win any games, but I think it'd be remiss of me to put a limit on where this group can go.
"It’s sort of what you dream about getting on a plane and winning a big final at the MCG."
