Sam Kerr has revealed she is set to become a mum, with the Matildas superstar revelling in the good news in what has otherwise been a tough 2024.

Kerr took to Instagram to share the news on Monday, posting a montage of loving photos with her pregnant partner Kristie Mewis.

The pair can be seen kissing in one photo, with another showing them holding an ultrasound picture.

Kerr is seen smiling brightly in another photo that shows off Mewis' pregnant belly.

"Mewis-Kerr baby coming 2025!" Kerr posted.

Mewis, a United States international, plays for West Ham United in the Women's Super League.

Kerr plays for Chelsea, but has been sidelined since tearing her anterior cruciate ligament in January.

The injury ruled Kerr out of the Paris Olympics, and the Matildas struggled in her absence on the way to bombing out in the group stage.

No timeline has been set for Kerr's return, with the 31-year-old recently expressing her conservative approach to her rehabilitation.

“I mean, it's my second ACL, so I know you need to take the time, you need to make sure it's right and I'm doing everything I can,” Kerr told Optus Sport in September.

“But there's definitely no rush for me, I want to make sure I can play for many more years to come.”

Mewis and Kerr met in 2020 before become a couple a year later. Kerr proposed to Mewis In September 2023.
