Two men have been charged with murder over the death of a 67-year-old man from a gunshot wound in regional NSW.
Emergency services found Paul Jacques at a home in Wellington, southeast of Dubbo, with a gunshot wound to his leg about 3.30am on August 2, 2021.
Mr Jacques was treated at the home before being taken to hospital in a serious condition, where he died of his injuries a short time later.
Local police established a crime scene and began investigating, before detectives from the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad took over the investigation.
Late last month detectives arrested a man, 20, at the Wellington Correctional Facility, charging him with murder and assault with intent to rob while armed with a dangerous weapon.
Another man, 21, was arrested at the South Coast Correctional Centre on Wednesday, charging him with the same offences.
Both men are due in Dubbo Local Court on July 27.
