Parramatta coach Brad Arthur says Dylan Brown knows he needs to repay his Eels teammates when he returns from a lengthy NRL ban next week.
The troubled five-eighth will be back for Parramatta's clash with St George-Illawarra next Sunday after being found guilty of sexually touching a woman without her consent on an alcohol-fuelled night out.
Brown pleaded guilty to two counts of unwanted sexual touching following the incident at a pub in Sydney's east on June 3.
He received an 18-month community corrections order, a $40,000 fine and seven-game ban from the NRL, and a $20,000 fine from the Eels that will be donated to a charity chosen by Brown and the club.
Brown has served his time and will come straight back in for Parramatta's game against the Dragons at CommBank Stadium.
"He'll be a big in for us," Arthur said.
"I think one of the things we miss with Dylan is just his defence.
He's very good defensively so that's obviously the first area that we need to fix up and he'll be able to help us on that left edge."
Brown has been putting in the hard yards during his suspension to try to atone on the field for his sins off it.
"He's flying. He's training really hard," Arthur said.
"He's strong, he's nice and fit and he knows that he needs to repay his teammates."
Brown's return comes at a crucial time for the ninth-placed Eels, who were demolished 46-16 by the Storm in Melbourne on Friday night.
Parramatta still have premiership contenders Penrith and Brisbane to come in the final month of the regular season as last year's beaten grand finalists try to finish inside the top-eight.
The Eels opened the scoring against the Storm after starting in promising fashion, but fell away badly as Melbourne triumphed on a night when they celebrated the club's 25th anniversary in the NRL.
"Obviously we had 46 points put on us, so of course we're disappointed defensively," Arthur said.
"It was just way too fast. We weren't physical enough in the tackle and it just got too quick
"We were standing still on our try line and they just carried us over the try line.
"It (the loss) has hurt us, but at the end of the day, we've still got enough games there (to qualify for finals)."
