Dual Olympian Rob Woodhouse has been appointed as Swimming Australia's (SA) new chief executive.
Woodhouse, who also swam at three Commonwealth Games, is SA's fourth chief executive in less than three years.
"Swimming is, and has always been, my passion," he said in a statement on Wednesday.
"And it is an honour to lead Australian swimming as we head into the Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games and beyond to the home (Brisbane) Games in 2032.
"My focus is to build an environment that inspires and enables our entire swimming community to perform to their potential together, in and out of the water."
Woodhouse takes the role vacated by Eugenie Buckley in April last year, who replaced Alex Baumann, who quit after three months in the job in August 2021, citing family reasons.
Steve Newman had acted as chief executive while SA hunted for a permanent replacement.
Woodhouse, an uncle of Australia's most decorated Olympian, swimmer Emma McKeon, formed sports management company Elite Sports Properties in 1996 and continued to work in the industry after selling his business to TLA Worldwide (TGI Sport).
