Matildas midfielder Tameka Yallop has helped Brisbane Roar hand Western Sydney Wanderers their first loss in five A-League Women games with a 3-1 victory.
A goal and an assist from Yallop lifted the Roar to victory - their seventh in a row against the Wanderers at Marconi Stadium.
Also on Saturday, competition strugglers Adelaide United snapped a four-game losing streak with a 2-1 upset win over fourth-placed Perth at Marden Sports Complex.
Eyeing a fifth consecutive win, the confident Wanderers burst out of the blocks and earned two corners within the opening five minutes.
But a moment of brilliance from Yallop brought the hosts crashing back to earth.
A clinical through ball from the Matildas star was collected by forward Kijah Stephenson, who outmanoeuvred defender Madison McComasky and goalkeeper Kaylie Ann Collins to score her second career goal in the 11th minute.
Western Sydney levelled shortly before the break when midfielder Holly Caspers broke through in the 39th minute, but Yallop would make another telling contribution early in the second half.
With Collins downed after saving an attempt from Sharn Freier, the 32-year-old slotted a goal of her own to snatch back the lead on 48 minutes.
American striker Mia Corbin doubled down on the hosts four minutes later, firing home from point-blank range to seal the win for Brisbane.
In Adelaide, Glory looked set to condemn the Reds to further pain after taking the lead midway through the first half thanks to some clever footwork by Elizabeth Anton.
The defender danced through the opposition to deliver a cross to Hana Lowry in the centre of the box, who volleyed the ball into the back of the net.
Isabel Hodgson dragged United back into the game in first-half added time, before Nanako Sasaki gave the hosts the lead two minutes after the restart.
