A second person has been charged with murdering a woman regional Western Australia.

The 38-year-old was found dead on Friday night when police went to a home in Busselton, southwest of Perth, to conduct a welfare check.

Detectives charged a 28-year-old woman on Monday with murder.

A 26-year-old man was with the same offence on Sunday.

Police allege the man knew the victim but the exact nature of their relationship is unclear, with another woman still assisting their investigation.

They believe the woman died on Thursday evening.

The accused man and woman are expected to appear in Bunbury Magistrates Court on Monday.

Investigators want to speak with anyone who saw or has dash-cam vision of a man and a woman holding a toddler and riding an e-scooter from Busselton to Margaret River between 6pm on Thursday and 8pm on Friday.
